The White Lily Centre is the dedicated bereavement support service run by Jonathan Terry Independent Funeral Directors, based at 103 Peartree Avenue in Southampton since it launched in December 2018. It's led by Margaret Francis, a registered psychotherapist, hypnotherapist and EMDR trauma practitioner who joined the company in 2010, and offers one-to-one counselling, support groups and community events for grieving families - open to anyone locally, not only those who've arranged a funeral through Jonathan Terry.
The centre's programme includes coffee mornings, a bereavement newsletter, and an annual Christmas remembrance service, alongside contact numbers for families who need grief support outside these events. It sits alongside Jonathan Terry's core funeral services, which include arranging, monumental masonry, greener funeral options, direct cremation via Hampshire Direct Cremations, and pre-paid funeral plans through Golden Charter, provided from the company's Peartree Avenue and London Road branches in Southampton.
It reflects the wider ethos of Jonathan Terry, founded in 1998 and still independently and privately owned, of treating every family's loss with genuine, personal care rather than as a transaction.
