Katie Mills Independent Funeral Service was founded in 2020 and is run by husband-and-wife team Katie and Rob from their premises at 342 Torquay Road in Preston, Paignton, serving Paignton and the wider Torbay area including Torquay and Brixham. The business is a member of SAIF, has received the MOD Gold Award, and is a signatory to the Armed Forces Covenant, offering an 'Our Heroes' discount to armed forces families.
Alongside traditional and direct cremation funerals, the team runs 'My Funeral Wishes', a pre-planning service for advance arrangements, and offers online tribute pages and its own funeral fleet. The couple describe funeral directing as 'an honour and a privilege', with a strong emphasis on fair, open and transparent pricing and communication throughout the arrangement process.
