John Gray & Co was established in 1960 and now operates as part of Funeral Partners Limited, a network of nearly 300 branches across the UK; locally the business trades under Funeral Services Northern Ireland Limited. The Holywood branch on the High Street is, per its own site, "the only funeral director in town," offering free street parking and accessible facilities including a wheelchair ramp and four private family rooms.
The branch arranges cremations, burials and unattended cremations, repatriation, memorial masonry, floral tributes, funeral stationery and transport, catering for multiple faiths and secular ceremonies. It also offers home visits for those who prefer not to travel, and a 360-degree virtual tour of its premises, serving Holywood and the surrounding County Down area with funerals starting from £1,750 (excluding third-party costs).
