Douglas Funeral Directors

Douglas Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run funeral home established in 1926, providing services to Ballynahinch and the surrounding County Down area, within roughly an 11-mile radius, for nearly a century. The owners remain personally involved in every aspect of the business, which the firm sums up in its tagline "Family serving family," and testimonials point to staff professionalism, empathy and thoughtful guidance as hallmarks of the service.

Facilities include the largest funeral church in the area, seating over 140 people, in what the firm describes as the only purpose-built funeral home within its service area, along with a fleet of Jaguar hearses and limousines. The firm also offers monumental masonry services covering headstones, lettering and renovations, pre-arranged and pre-paid funeral plans, after-funeral catering, extended opening hours, and a 24-hour, 365-day-a-year on-call service for bereaved families.
