Helliwells Funeral Service is an independent funeral director with a branch in Barnoldswick, part of a small group also serving Colne and Nelson in Lancashire's Pendle area. The firm arranges the full range of services, including traditional funerals, cremations, burials, repatriation and pre-paid funeral plans, taking on the paperwork, coffin selection, transport and service planning on families' behalf.

Helliwells traces its history back to 1924, when "Young" Joseph Helliwell began operating from a house on Dover Street in Nelson, having previously run coaches and taxis in the area. The firm changed hands in 1970 when William Robert Stott acquired the Helliwell name, and in 1990 Keith and Marguerite Lawson took ownership, naming their Burnley Road premises "Stott House" in tribute to the Stott family. In 1996 the business absorbed W.M. Hodgson & Son, joiners and funeral directors founded in 1926, further extending its roots in the district. Today the firm maintains a varied funeral fleet including horse-drawn carriages and a motorcycle hearse, and is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Limited for funeral plans.
