Cotton & Son Funeral Directors is based at Milton House, 1 Milton Road, Weymouth, Dorset, offering traditional attended funerals, cremation and burial arrangements, coffin selection and funeral planning guidance to families in Weymouth, Portland and surrounding areas.
Established in 1912, the firm was run by three generations of the Cotton family - founder Edward, his son John, and grandson Peter - before ownership passed to A J Wakely & Sons Ltd in June 2023; it is now overseen by Simon Wakely with Principal Funeral Director Margaret Sherratt (with the firm since 2005) and Funeral Director Nathan Westwood (since 2008), both NAFD-qualified.
The business continues to operate under its long-standing Weymouth name and premises, retaining over a century of local service history despite now being part of the wider A J Wakely & Sons group.
