Thornhill Funeral Services is run single-handedly by Alexander Thornhill, a fully qualified funeral director and embalmer with over 20 years' experience serving Jesmond, Newcastle upon Tyne and the wider North East, including North Tyneside and Northumberland. Alexander holds membership with NAFD and the British Institute of Embalmers, and personally oversees every aspect of each funeral he arranges, from the first phone call through to the day itself.
The business offers traditional funerals, direct cremations and eco-friendly green burials using sustainable coffins, alongside celebration-of-life ceremonies, bespoke funeral transport including motorcycle funerals, memorial and fingerprint jewellery, and repatriation. Chapel of rest facilities are available for viewings, with access to West Road Crematorium and other local crematoria, and a network of trusted florists, caterers and stonemasons. Armed Forces and emergency services funerals are also catered for, with a 24-hour line for urgent calls.
