Tapper Funeral Service has been a family-owned business since 1904, and its Poole office at 32-34 Parkstone Road remains the company's central hub, housing vehicles, facilities and administration; during the 1950s the same premises doubled as the family's home. The branch is run by brothers Steven and Paul Tapper, who joined in 1985 and 1988, with their father Christopher still involved as Senior Director and consultant, and the wider business now spans nine offices across Dorset and Hampshire.
The team offers traditional funerals, direct and unattended cremations, celebration-of-life services, funeral celebrant support, and pre-paid funeral plans, with access to an on-site ceremony hall and the Harbour View Crematorium overlooking Poole Harbour and the Purbeck Hills. Tapper is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, a signatory to the UK Funeral Director Code, and FCA-regulated for its pre-paid plans, and provides free bereavement support through its Outlook service.
