Sterry Funeral Service, incorporating Sterry's of Hythe, was established in 2003 and today trades as part of Funeral Partners Limited, one of the UK's largest funeral director groups with around 297 branches nationwide. The Hythe branch, on the High Street, works alongside a sister office in nearby Folkestone, and both serve families throughout this part of Kent.
The branch arranges attended funerals, burials, cremations and direct (unattended) cremations, together with green and woodland funerals, memorial masonry, coffin selection, ashes caskets and keepsakes, floral tributes and funeral stationery. Families can also access online funeral notices and tribute pages, probate assistance and pre-paid Choice Funeral Plans, arranged through the Financial Conduct Authority-regulated Alternative Planning Company Limited.
A dedicated funeral home with viewing facilities supports a 24-hour, 365-day service, and home visits are available for those who prefer to discuss arrangements without travelling. The team is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and describes its aim as creating funerals tailored to reflect the unique life of each person who has died.
