Sherlock Funeral Service, also known as Stoneman Funeral Service, is a truly independent, sixth-generation family business established in 1865 and still run by the same family more than 160 years later. Based in Dorking, Surrey, the firm serves families across Redhill, Reigate, Godstone, Tadworth and Crawley Down with the quiet empathy and attention to detail that comes from generations of local experience.
The team creates funerals that are 'as unique as the lives they celebrate', offering traditional and contemporary services, pre-arranged and pre-paid plans, environmental and woodland burials, direct cremation and even horse-drawn hearses for a more traditional send-off. Probate services and memorial masonry round out a comprehensive offering for grieving families.
As members of NAFD, SAIF and the British Institute of Funeral Directors, Sherlock Funeral Service combines professional standards with genuinely personal, discreet care, remaining a trusted name for families across the Surrey and Sussex borders.
