Selwood Funeral Directors was founded in 1974 by Lindsay and Norma Martin, and the family has run it ever since - believed to be the oldest independent funeral directors in Angus. The business remains privately owned and operated by the Martin family, maintaining its independence from national chains.
From its main office on Dundee Street in Carnoustie, opened in 1986, plus a Monifieth location, the team offers a 90-person service room, two rest rooms and its own purpose-built mortuary, with support available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Selwood is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, the British Institute of Funeral Directors and SAIF, giving Angus families accredited, professional care backed by five decades of continuous family service.
