Thomas Brothers was founded in 1997 by Simon Thomas, whose own career in the funeral profession began at 14 after feeling his grandmother's funeral lacked adequate care — an experience that shaped the firm's guiding principle, "Our family taking care of yours." The business remains family-owned and run, now led by siblings Simon, Mark, Ben and Ceri alongside their mother Christine, with a second and third generation, including Ben Jr, George and Alex, already working as funeral directors.
The firm operates five branches across South Birmingham and Worcestershire — Redditch, Bromsgrove, Wythall, Alvechurch and Alcester — offering funeral arrangements, hearses and limousines, religious and Humanist ceremonies, catering, floristry and stonemasonry, plus pre-payment plans through Golden Charter. The Alcester branch, on Birmingham Road, gives local families access to the same round-the-clock, 24/7/365 service as the group's other homes.
