Richard Green Funeral Service was founded in 1999 by Richard Green after 30 years working for larger funeral firms, seeking to offer personalised service rather than a corporate, "one size fits all" approach. This Lewes branch opened in 2005, alongside the original Uckfield office, and the business remains wholly owner-controlled with no parent company involvement.
Services include traditional funeral services, direct cremation, green funerals, coffins and caskets, pre-paid Golden Charter funeral plans, memorial stones and monuments, and ashes caskets and keepsakes, with both locations featuring comfortable lounges and private chapels of rest.
The firm is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD), and Richard Green himself brings over 50 years of industry experience to the business's flexible, personalised approach.
