Pepperdine Barrett, trading as R. Pepperdine & Sons Ltd, is an independent, family-owned funeral director tracing its roots to 1873, when it was originally based in Moss Side before later moving to Old Trafford. The business now operates from Alexandra House on Manchester Road in Chorlton-cum-Hardy, South Manchester.
While based in South Manchester, the firm serves a wide area across Greater Manchester, including the Trafford districts of Urmston, Flixton, Davyhulme, Partington, Stretford, Sale and Altrincham, as well as Eccles, Prestwich, Whitefield, Bury and Wythenshawe, and also arranges funerals nationally and internationally. Services include traditional and alternative funerals, a range of coffin and casket options from solid wood and veneer to eco-friendly and picture designs, alternative hearses, and funeral pre-payment plans. Direct cremation is offered through a sister company, Direct Cremations Manchester, and bereavement support includes counselling, eulogy assistance and resources for children.
Pepperdine Barrett is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors, and provides a 24-hour service alongside its Monday-to-Friday office hours.
