Halliwell House on Ormskirk Road, Pemberton is the head office of R Banks & Son (Funerals) Ltd, an independent, family-owned funeral director serving Wigan and the surrounding communities. The firm is led by Managing Director Carina Halliwell Jones, with the team holding British Institute of Embalmers qualifications and NAFD and SAIF membership, reflecting a strong commitment to professional standards.
Families can arrange traditional or bespoke funerals and direct cremations from the Pemberton office, with caring support available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The business also helps families plan ahead through Golden Charter pre-paid funeral plans, and offers caskets, urns, keepsakes, headstones and memorials to help create a fitting tribute.
As the main office of the wider R Banks & Son group, Halliwell House oversees a network of branches across the Wigan borough while remaining, at heart, a genuinely independent family business.
