Murray's Funeral Directors was established in 1999 in Burton upon Trent and has grown into a small Staffordshire and Derbyshire group, becoming part of the Funeral Partners network in 2023. The Swadlincote branch, based on the Boardman Industrial Estate, serves Swadlincote and the surrounding South Derbyshire area.
The branch handles cremation and burial arrangements, green and woodland funerals, repatriation, memorial masonry, coffin and urn selection and floral tributes, along with prepaid funeral plans for families wishing to plan ahead.
Murray's describes its approach as centred on "Care, Compassion and Community," with an emphasis on respect for diversity and professional standards. The Swadlincote team is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and offers 24-hour telephone support for families in need.
