The Mullard family worked as carpenters and builders in Godalming from the mid-1700s before Eric Mullard took over the business around 1921 and bought the freehold at 121-123 High Street in 1949; on his retirement in the early 1970s the firm merged with G M Luff & Partners and now operates as part of the Ford Mears group.
