Mears Family Funerals has cared for bereaved families for over 100 years across four generations, led by Group CEO Steven Mears, and remains an independent, family-run business rather than part of a corporate chain. The group operates ten branches across London and Kent, including Beckenham, Biggin Hill & Westerham, Blackfen & Sidcup, Bromley, Catford & Sydenham, Downham, Eltham, Ladywell & Lewisham, West Wickham and this Orpington branch on the High Street, alongside further branches in Aylesbury and Southampton; the Orpington branch is currently relocating to new premises on Orpington High Street.

Services include attended funerals, with Basic Funeral packages from £3,000 and Bespoke Funerals from £3,375, as well as unattended direct cremation from £1,495, monument erection, international repatriation, and extras such as flowers, orders of service, urns and fingerprint jewellery, all set out in a published Standardised Price List.
