Mark Skinner Funeral Service is an independent, family-run funeral director with genuine roots in Brandon: Mark's grandfather worked as a funeral director in the town in the 1920s, and Mark himself started out sweeping floors for a local undertaker at 13, later buying the business at 23. More than 45 years on, it remains a family affair — his wife Laine and daughter Lauren both work alongside a long-serving team across the Brandon, Thetford and Lakenheath offices. The practice belongs to both the National Association of Funeral Directors and SAIF, undergoing regular inspections, and offers traditional, bespoke and direct (unattended) funerals alongside memorial and bereavement support.
