Mark Porteous Funeral Directors is one of the few remaining family-run, independent funeral directors in Edinburgh and the Lothians. Founded in 2006 with its first branch in Juniper Green, the business is now run by second-generation family members Mark Porteous, his wife Yvonne and their son Grant, alongside experienced staff, across six branches.
Services include cremation, burial, direct cremation and simple funerals, personalised, faith-based and green funeral options, dedicated services for young adults and for babies and children, headstones and memorials, repatriation, and pre-paid plans through their "My Funeral Wishes" service.
This branch operates from Kirkbrae House, 43a Lasswade Road (Liberton), Edinburgh, part of a network also covering Juniper Green, Colinton, Blackhall, Bonnyrigg and Corstorphine. The firm is a member of SAIF, fully compliant with SAIF and Scottish Government Codes of Practice, and is five-star rated and award-winning.
