M G Evans and Sons has been serving Atherstone and the surrounding area since 1969, when it was founded by Melvyn and Doreen Evans. The business remains family-run into a third generation - sons David and Nigel Evans now lead the company, joined by David's daughter Carly Baker and Nigel's sons Matthew, George and Luke. Alongside the original Atherstone branch on Croft Road, the family has since opened locations in Tamworth, Nuneaton and Coleshill, extending the firm's reach across Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the wider West and East Midlands.
The team is accredited by the National Association of Funeral Directors, SAIF, and BRAMM, and offers a full range of options including horse-drawn carriages in black, white or silver with two to four horses, vintage Rolls-Royce and Jaguar vehicles alongside modern Jaguar hearses and limousines, bespoke memorial masonry, and pre-paid funeral plans through Golden Charter. Families can choose from a wide range of coffins, caskets and cremation urns, and the firm provides an online funeral cost calculator to help with early planning.
