M Coghlan Ltd has remained an independent, family-owned funeral director for over 150 years, established in 1861, and continues to serve Gosport from its Forton Road premises with a strong focus on personal attention and dignity. The firm holds memberships with both NAFD and SAIF, reflecting a long-standing commitment to professional and ethical standards.
Services include direct cremation, pre-paid funeral plans, a wide choice of coffins from veneer and solid wood to environmentally-friendly wicker and bamboo options, memorials, floral tributes and full support with service sheets and webcast viewing. The Gosport branch also features a newly renovated ceremony room, offering families a flexible, customisable alternative to a traditional crematorium or cemetery chapel for either religious or non-religious services.
With 24-hour availability despite standard office hours, and over a century and a half of continuous local service, M Coghlan Ltd remains a trusted, genuinely independent choice for funerals across Gosport and the surrounding Hampshire area.
