M&F Funeral Services traces its origins to January 1926, when it began as the funeral department of the M&F Co-op Society, before relocating from its Bushmill premises to purpose-built premises on Lochend Road, Musselburgh, in 1929. The independent business now operates as a small, professional team serving Musselburgh, Dalkeith, Portobello and Tranent.
The firm provides funeral, cremation, memorial and monumental services, with a range of sustainable coffin options in wood, wicker and wool suitable for both burial and cremation. Arrangements are made through personal, hand-written consultations, and the premises are designed to offer a warm and comfortable welcome to grieving families.
M&F is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors and adheres to its code of practice, with a stated ethos of putting family needs first and treating client care as a privilege, combining traditional practices with a modern environmental conscience.
