Julie Wesson Independent Funeral Directors was established in 2007 by Julie and her husband Richard, drawing on Julie's experience in funeral directing since age 17. The Beeston office, known as Harold House on Villa Street, was named after Julie's late father and relocated to its current premises in 2020; the business has been named Funeral Director of the Year in the Central England Prestige Awards for 2023, 2024 and 2025.
Services include funeral arrangement and planning, pre-paid funeral plans through Ecclesiastical, personalised coffins from traditional to themed designs, keepsakes, urns, scatter tubes, caskets and floral tributes, with a strongly personal, listening-led approach to family wishes. The branch serves Beeston, Chilwell, Attenborough and surrounding areas of Nottingham and Derbyshire, available 24 hours a day, every day of the year.
