John Corner Funeral Service Ltd is an independent, family-run funeral directors based at Westcote, Low Hawsker, near Whitby, North Yorkshire, with its own chapel of rest and office where families can meet with the directors, or receive a home visit if preferred. The firm arranges burial and cremation funerals along with floral tributes, newspaper announcements, funeral teas, donation handling, memorial brochures, and a horse-drawn hearse option for a more traditional send-off.

The business dates back to 1975, when John Corner and his wife Edith took over the local funeral business after John completed his apprenticeship in the trade; the next generation took the helm in 2012, when their daughter Wendy and her husband Kevin Robinson assumed the running of the firm, keeping it in family hands across two generations. The company holds membership of both SAIF (the National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors) and the NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors), and is an appointed representative of Golden Charter Limited for pre-paid funeral planning.
