J Stamp & Sons has served the Market Harborough community for nearly eight decades, tracing its roots to 1946 when Jack and Ellen Stamp founded a french polishing and antique furniture restoration workshop in the Welland Valley. The family diversified into funeral directing after relocating to The Chestnuts, a Georgian hunting lodge, in 1960 - still the firm's home today.
Now led by third-generation directors Jonathan, Chris and David Stamp, the independent business draws on backgrounds in engineering, financial services and surveying, supported by a long-serving, dedicated team.
The directors are active in the National Association of Funeral Directors, including industry education and examination boards, and are involved in civic life across Market Harborough.
