J E Hackett & Sons is an independent, family-run funeral director based at Longford Bridge in Coventry, with a second branch in Bedworth. The firm offers bespoke traditional funerals, attended and unattended direct cremation, burial services and pre-paid funeral plans, with 24/7 personal (not automated) phone support.
Founded in 1922 by John Edward Hackett, the business is now run by the fourth generation of the family, including Hugh Thomas Hackett and William Bill Hackett. It is a member of NAFD, SAIF, Golden Charter and the British Institute of Embalmers, and offers private chapels of rest with direct collection from the place of death rather than an off-site mortuary.
