J and D Lawson Funeral Directors, at 9 Kilsyth Road in Kirkintilloch, traces its roots back to 1890 and today operates as part of Funeral Partners Limited, one of the UK's largest funeral director groups with around 297 branches, serving Kirkintilloch and the wider Glasgow area.
The branch arranges attended and unattended cremations, burials and green funerals, together with memorial masonry, coffin selection, ashes caskets and keepsakes, floral tributes and funeral stationery. Home visit consultations and an online funeral quote builder are available, alongside pre-paid Choice Funeral Plans through the FCA-regulated Alternative Planning Company Limited, and interest-free payment options for some services.
J and D Lawson is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and publishes independent reviews via Much Loved. With more than 135 years of local history behind it, the firm also offers a horse-drawn hearse option for families wanting a more traditional send-off, alongside its standard fleet and arrangement services.
