Ian Bendall Funeral Directors, based in Castle Douglas with a Dalbeattie branch, was founded over 60 years ago by William and Nan Bendall.
64 High Street, Dalbeattie, Dumfries & Galloway, DG5 4AA
Ian Bendall Funeral Directors is an independent, family-run funeral business with its main premises in Castle Douglas and a branch office in Dalbeattie, serving Kirkcudbrightshire and the wider Dumfries and Galloway area with personalised funeral arrangements to suit each family's wishes.
The business was established over 60 years ago by William and Nan Bendall, Ian Bendall's uncle and aunt, who originally ran it alongside a furniture removal service. Following William's death in 1985, Ian took over the funeral side of the business and modernised its approach. A third generation is now involved, with Ian's daughter Kimberley bringing new ideas and a fresh approach to the firm.
The Castle Douglas premises include a modern, stylish fleet of funeral vehicles, a refrigerated mortuary, an embalming suite and modern offices for family consultations, with the Dalbeattie branch providing a more local point of contact for families in that area.
