Hardy's Funeral Service was founded in 1984 by Chris Hardy as a family-focused funeral business. Joanne Midgley joined in 2008 and became owner and Managing Director in 2023, continuing the firm's commitment to compassion, dignity and exceptional personal service across its Crook and Willington premises.
The business offers traditional and contemporary funerals, burial or cremation, pre-paid funeral plans through an FCA-regulated provider, coffins and ashes caskets, floral tributes, memorial stones and jewellery, and bereavement support.
Hardy's is a member of SAIF (Society of Independent Funeral Directors) and emphasises tailored, meaningful arrangements with close attention to every detail, serving Crook, Willington and the wider County Durham area.
