H Noble was founded in 1854 by Henry Noble, then aged 24, building on his family's funeral and furniture-making heritage, and the business has remained in family ownership ever since, continuously serving Broadstairs, Thanet and the surrounding Kent coast for over 170 years. Based at 1 Northdown Road in St Peters, the firm is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors, is NAFD-inspected and CMA-regulated, and offers 24/7 support.
The team provides both traditional and direct cremation options, including unattended and simple cremations, along with bespoke funeral arrangements, cremated remains dispersal, scattering and memorials, and UK and international repatriation. On-site facilities include two viewing chapels and a chapel of rest for up to 30 people, and families can choose from a range of sustainable coffin options, from traditional oak veneer to cardboard and banana leaf, or arrange a traditional horse-drawn hearse. Funerals for babies and children under 18 are provided at no charge, supported by the Child Funeral Fund.
Multi-faith and non-religious funerals are respectfully accommodated, and the team liaises directly with doctors, coroners, solicitors, registrars and clergy on the family's behalf, positioning the business as combining traditional funeral service with a modern, family-focused approach.
