H G King Funeral Services was founded in 2017 by Henry King, then 23, who began in the profession at 16 as a pallbearer alongside his father David before working at a Brighton funeral director and setting up his own independent firm — proudly not part of any chain.
Services include attended cremation and burial with formal ceremonies, unattended (direct) cremation and burial, pre-paid funeral plans via Golden Charter, stonemasonry and memorials, and repatriation. The firm serves West Sussex, including Lancing, Sompting, Angmering, Worthing, Rustington, Littlehampton, Findon and Arundel, and offers 24/7 availability.
A distinctive feature is the firm's own private 36-seat service chapel in Lancing, offered with exclusive, unshared use. The firm is an NAFD member and has raised over £30,000 for St Barnabas House Hospice through community fundraising.
