Greaves Funeral Services was founded in Leyton by Ian Greaves, who opened the doors to families in 2019 after more than 25 years working in the funeral profession. Before moving into funeral work, Ian trained as a chef and later as a gas engineer, and was introduced to the trade when another funeral director asked for his help during a busy spell. The independent, family-run business is known for its culturally sensitive care, particularly for Afro-Caribbean families, offering personalised arrangements that reflect each family's faith and traditions. Much of its reputation comes from word of mouth and families who return across generations.
