Grassby & Sons was founded in 1861 by stonemason Benjamin Grassby and moved into funeral directing in 1970; it is now a sixth-generation family business run by brothers David and Peter Grassby with David's son Nick, operating branches across Dorset including Dorchester, Weymouth, Blandford, Sturminster Newton and Bransgore, plus stonemasonry, green burials and hybrid-vehicle fleet.
