G A Townroe and Son is an independent, family-run funeral director based on the High Street in Warsop, near Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, offering funeral arrangement and planning, coffin and casket selection, limousine transport, floral tributes and headstone guidance.
Established in Warsop in 1947 by the late George Aubrey Townroe, the business passed to his son Eric, who joined in 1966, making it a two-generation family firm with over 60 years of continuous local service. It is a member of both the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and the British Institute of Embalmers (BIE).
The firm offers 24-hour support and home visits, and provides prepaid funeral plans tailored to individual family needs.
