Fred Hamer is one of the region's oldest family-owned funeral directors, trading for over 100 years and currently run by managing director John with his wife Dawn and daughters Emma and Hannah; several staff have more than 25 years' service. The firm offers burial and cremation arrangements, celebrations of life, monumental masonry, bereavement support, personal funeral plans and direct (unattended) cremation, and operates one of the largest privately-owned Mercedes and Rolls Royce ceremonial vehicle fleets in the area, which it also leases to other funeral firms.
