Forsey and Son was established in 1946 by Wilfred Albert Forsey and has served the Glastonbury community for over 75 years, now run by the fourth generation of the family under Chairman Adrian Forsey and Managing Director Samuel Forsey. The independent, family-run business operates from its Willowfields headquarters in Glastonbury alongside branches in Somerton, Butleigh, Street and Langport, and is a member of both NAFD and SAIF.
The team offers a full range of services, from unattended direct cremation and attended simple cremation to bespoke, fully personalised funerals, along with advance funeral preplanning and memorial masonry including headstones, tablets, kerbs and flower vases. Prepaid funeral plans are available through Golden Charter, and the firm runs a free bereavement support group called STEPS. Willowfields also houses The Pavilion, a light, spacious venue used for funeral services, receptions and other events.
Forsey and Son places particular emphasis on environmental responsibility, offering hybrid vehicles, willow coffins and green burial options alongside flexible payment terms and support for the local community. Home visits are available and every funeral is tailored to the family's wishes, with transparent, no-hidden-fee pricing and support available around the clock.
