Firmager Funeral Service was founded in 2000 by Bert Firmager and Michael Owen; after both founders passed away, Michael's wife Wendy Owen took over the business in 2009. Firmager is now a trading name of Funeral Partners Limited, a network of nearly 300 branches across England and Wales, and is a member of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD). The branch operates from Owen House on Fairfield Road in New Romney, Kent.
The team offers cremations, burials, green and woodland funerals, unattended cremations, repatriation, memorial masonry, coffin selection, urns and keepsakes, floral tributes and probate assistance, alongside prepaid funeral plans through Choice Funeral Plans and online tributes through Much Loved. Home visits can be arranged for families who cannot attend the office in person.
Staff describe their aim as creating tailored funerals that reflect the unique life of the person who has died, with a published, standardised price list for transparency and funerals starting from £1,750 excluding third-party fees, and the branch can be reached 24 hours a day.
