Evans & Tranter is the Newport, Shropshire branch of the independent Tranter Funerals group, based at 130-130a High Street and offering attended funerals, direct cremation and full funeral arrangement services to the local area.
The wider group has served the Telford and Newport area for five generations under three trading names - L Tranter and Son, Evans and Tranter, and Bailey and Tranter - and operates Aston House, described as Telford's first large-capacity funeral service hall. Services include a wide coffin and casket range, memorial masonry, floral tributes, livestreamed services and pre-paid Golden Charter-style funeral plans.
The Newport branch publishes its own standardised price list and offers chapel of rest facilities alongside home visits for arranging funerals.
