Established in 1712, E Sargeant & Son is one of the longest-standing funeral businesses in the country, having served Slough and the surrounding Berkshire area for over 300 years. The firm now trades as part of the Funeral Partners network, with the Church Street branch working alongside sister locations in Windsor and Maidenhead, and offers full funeral arrangement services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, including home visit consultations.
Services span traditional cremations and burials, green and woodland funerals, direct cremation and repatriation, along with memorial masonry, a range of coffins, urns and keepsakes, floral tributes, probate support and stationery. A dedicated ritual washroom allows the branch to accommodate the preparation requirements of Sikh, Hindu, Buddhist and Muslim families, and prepaid funeral plans are available through Choice.
The branch is an NAFD member and supports the local community through a dedicated fund, having pledged £40,000 to Thames Hospice and provided grants to organisations such as Home-Start Berkshire East.
