David Scott (Blairgowrie) Ltd is an independent, family-run funeral director based at 65 High Street, Blairgowrie, Perth & Kinross, with a second branch in Alyth, offering direct cremation, attended funerals and burial arrangements across Blairgowrie, Alyth and East Perthshire.
The firm was founded in 1925 by David Scott Snr as D & J Scott, combining joinery and undertaking work with just £5 and a borrowed toolbox, and celebrated its centenary in 2025. Ownership has passed through four generations of the same family, with Martin Mackay now representing the third generation working alongside parents Billy and Margot and wife Susan.
The firm describes itself as "part of the community" rather than purely a commercial enterprise, reflecting its century-long local presence.
