D Moodie & Co was founded in 1911 by Donald Moodie and has been owned by the Paton family since 1946, now in its third generation of family ownership. The firm serves the Glasgow and Paisley area from four locations: Barrhead, Neilston, Glasgow Road, and Rowan Street (both in Paisley), offering personalised, simple, and direct cremation services alongside floral tributes, funeral transport, music selection, order-of-service booklets, memorials, and pre-paid funeral plans through Golden Charter.
The Barrhead premises include dedicated funeral facilities and a fleet of Mercedes E-Class vehicles. The company holds accreditations from the British Institute of Embalmers, the British Institute of Funeral Directors, SAIF, and FCA-regulated Golden Charter, and won the Golden Charter National Funeral Planner of the Year award in 2006.
