Boswell Independent Funeral Services was founded in 2014 by Carl Boswell, who began working in the funeral profession in 2004 and previously worked across nine offices for Oxford's last independent family firm before its acquisition by a national group. Family-owned, with branches in Kidlington, Summertown and Bicester, the firm is a member of both the National Association of Funeral Directors and the Society of Allied Independent Funeral Directors, holding SAIF Care accreditation, and is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
The firm's guiding philosophy, "For Every Life is Unique, So is Every Funeral," underpins its offer of traditional, green and direct cremation services, as well as arrangements for children and babies, dove releases, and repatriation, with no time pressure placed on families during the planning process.
