C. E. Fuller & Co is one of the longest-established funeral businesses in Soham, Cambridgeshire, with roots tracing back to 1868, when local builder and wheelwright George Shaw first offered undertaking services from Hall Street. The firm passed to Cecil Fuller and Herbert Johnson, then traded as Cecil E. Fuller from 1938 under Ernest Fuller's son Cecil, who pioneered cremation as an alternative to burial. When Cecil retired in 1964, his son-in-law Reg Brown took over, helped by wife Anita, son Tony and daughter-in-law Marie, and the firm was renamed C. E. Fuller & Co, focusing solely on funeral services from then on. Marie later continued running the business with the team. In 2023, C. E. Fuller & Co partnered with fellow independent, family-owned funeral directors Peasgood & Skeates, who have branches across Cambridge, Duxford, Haverhill, Sawston and Saffron Walden, while keeping its own name in Soham as a mark of respect for the Fuller family's legacy.
