Blackwells of Cricklade

Blackwells was established in Cricklade in 1916 and has served families there and across Wiltshire for well over a century, later expanding into Swindon in 1999 as a sister branch. The Cricklade premises, at Thames House, Thames Lane, are run by the same team of seven funeral directors as the Swindon branch - Nigel Keen, Robert Orford, Susi Valero, Russell Osman, Hugo Kennard, Tinikka Mason and Samantha Wilson - and are staffed around the clock, every day of the year, under the guiding principle that the team will "help you plan the funeral which best reflects their life."

The Cricklade branch offers the same full range of services as its Swindon sibling: deceased care and preparation, funeral arrangement planning, a modern Mercedes limousine fleet, a choice of solid wood, picture, wicker, wool or cardboard coffins, and memorial products including headstones, gravestones and cremation tablets. Prepaid funeral plans are available through Golden Charter, for which the firm is an FCA-regulated appointed representative, and Blackwells is a member of both the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and SAIF. Serving Cricklade, Swindon and the wider Wiltshire area, the business also arranges post-funeral catering to support families after the service itself.
