A.W. Lymn The Family Funeral Service was established in 1907 by Arthur William Lymn and is today managed by the third generation of the Lymn Rose family - Jackie, Matthew and Nigel - making it one of the largest independent funeral directors in the East Midlands. The Sutton-in-Ashfield branch, at 82 Station Road, joined the group in 2013 and offers full client facilities including a family room, visiting room and cold room. Funeral Arranger Karen Horton runs day-to-day arrangements Monday to Friday 9am-5pm, with evening appointments available, under the area oversight of Senior Funeral Director Jonathan Baker.

The branch is open 24 hours a day and serves Sutton-in-Ashfield and the surrounding communities of Mansfield and Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Services include traditional burial and cremation, direct cremation, green funerals, repatriation, pre-paid funeral plans, bereavement counselling and support for multi-faith ceremonies spanning Anglican, Catholic, Muslim, Jewish, Sikh, Hindu and Buddhist traditions. The branch is a National Association of Funeral Directors member and benefits from the wider A.W. Lymn group's fleet of vehicles, chapels of rest and round-the-clock support network.
