A.W. Lymn - The Family Funeral Service Shirebrook

Shirebrook Funeral Service joined the A.W. Lymn family funeral group in September 2004 and underwent a full refurbishment of its premises in 2013. A.W. Lymn was formed in 1907 and remains personally owned and run by the Lymn Rose family, and is now one of the region's largest independent funeral providers with 26 offices across Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire. Operating from 32-34 Patchwork Row, the Shirebrook branch is run by Funeral Arranger Jackie Potter, who joined the company in January 2014, under the oversight of Mansfield-area Senior Funeral Director Jonathan Baker.

The branch serves a wide catchment stretching from Shirebrook itself into Mansfield, Ravenshead, Rainworth, Blidworth, Berry Hill, Clipstone, Forest Town, Harlow Wood, Ladybrook, Pleasley, Warsop, Church Warsop and Warsop Vale. It is open for arrangements Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with home visits and a 24-hour telephone line available at other times. As with other A.W. Lymn branches, families can call on the group's fleet of Rolls-Royce vehicles, chapels of rest, pre-paid funeral plans and associated monumental masonry and floristry services, alongside traditional, bespoke and green funeral options, reflecting the long association the branch has built with its local community.
