A.W. Lymn's Ruddington office traces back to the 1950s, when it operated as Oliver & Son Funeral Services before being acquired by the Beeson/Lymn family business in 1994. It is now part of A.W. Lymn - The Family Funeral Service, originally formed in 1907 and still wholly owned and managed by the founding Lymn Rose family, with Jackie, Matthew and Nigel Lymn Rose at the helm; Nigel is a former president of the National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD). The Ruddington branch, at 45 Easthorpe Street, is staffed by funeral directors Teresa Spencer (with the firm since 1991) and Gary Cooke (since 2013).

The branch offers visiting rooms, family reception rooms, cold room facilities and arrangement at the family's own pace, alongside the group's wider fleet of Rolls-Royce funeral vehicles for those wanting a more traditional send-off. It serves Ruddington and the surrounding villages, including Bradmore, Bunny, Burton on the Wolds, Costock, East Leake, Keyworth, Kingston upon Soar, Normanton on Soar, Sileby, Sutton Bonington, West Leake, Widmerpool and Willoughby on the Wolds.

Office hours are Monday to Friday 9am-5pm and Saturday 9am-12:30pm, with after-hours appointments available on request and 24-hour emergency support at any time. As one of the largest independent, family-owned funeral directors in the East Midlands, A.W. Lymn combines long-standing local knowledge with the resources of a substantial group business.
