A.W. Lymn - The Family Funeral Service was established in 1907 and remains family-owned by the Lymn Rose family, now operating a network of 26 offices across Nottinghamshire and South Derbyshire. This branch, Harrod House, serves the Carlton area of Nottingham and the surrounding neighbourhoods, giving local families a nearby office within the wider group's network.
Across its branches, the firm offers traditional funerals, bespoke individually written obituaries, and pre-payment/pre-need planning, supported by a set of affiliated businesses that extend the service in-house: City Flowers Nottingham for funeral flowers, The Craftsmen in Stone for memorial masonry, and Lymn Luxury Vehicle Hire/Carriage Masters for funeral transport, including a Rolls-Royce Phantom hearse.
Staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and the group emphasises combining the depth of resources of an established, multi-generation Nottinghamshire operator with the personal attention of a family-run business. (This branch's own web page returned a 403 response on a fresh visit, even though the main lymn.co.uk site loaded normally, so branch-specific staff and facility details could not be confirmed for this listing.)
