Abercorn Funeral Services was founded in June 2022 by Tom Osborne and Marie DeMarco. Osborne brings 27 years in the funeral industry, having started as a casual driver, while DeMarco previously served as Senior Funeral Arranger at Deery Funeral Services from 2014; together with hand-picked colleagues including funeral arrangers Elaine Carr and Doreen Hamilton, the team has 85 years of combined experience. The company is a member of the Society of Allied Independent Funeral Professionals (SAIF) and operates from three offices across Edinburgh and the Lothians: Edinburgh City (204 Piersfield Terrace), Leith (2b Taylor Gardens) and Musselburgh (39 Bridge Street).

Services range from a Bespoke Funeral built entirely around the family's wishes, to a Purely Funeral attended cremation inclusive of the crematorium fee, a simplified Classic Funeral, and the Direct Funeral - a cost-effective, no-fuss cremation package including careful preparation, a quality coffin and private transfer. The firm also offers memorial services, personalisation options, ash interment in cemetery grounds, and funerals for children up to 18 provided free of charge.
